A masked man wielding a knife entered the Graham Street store.

Police Scotland is appealing for information following a robbery at a Dundee newsagent at around 6.10pm on Thursday.

The male responsible is described as being 5 foot 10 inches tall, slim build, wearing a mask, grey jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, gloves and black shoes.

He presented a weapon at two female staff members at Graham Street News, Graham Street and then removed the till before walking off into Barnes Avenue.

The male is then thought to have entered a dark coloured vehicle before the vehicle drove off towards Old Glamis Road.

No one was injured during the incident.

The store’s owner, Naz Ahmed, said: “The guy came in and had a mask and a knife.

“The two girls were at the back of the shop and scattered when they saw him.

“They’re shaken, but thankfully ok.”

Anyone who may have seen the described male in the area around the time of the crime or who may have seen him enter a vehicle in Barnes Avenue is urged to contact police.

Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
