Chart-topping girl band Little Mix will play Dundee’s Slessor Gardens in June as part of the group’s national tour.
The City of Discovery will play host to the “world’s biggest girl band” on Thursday June 29, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday January 20.
Formed through The X Factor, the four-piece have become one of the most popular girl bands on the planet, achieving four number one singles and a number one album.
The news has already been met with excitement by organisers.

Will Dawson, Dundee City Council’s city development convener, said the announcement is proof Slessor Gardens is “already becoming a sought-after venue for concerts”.
He said: “Dundee will experience an exciting summer of music this year and I am delighted to see that Slessor Gardens is already becoming a sought-after venue for concerts.
“Little Mix coming to Dundee shows how the waterfront regeneration is creating a real boost for our local economy, hot on the heels of the UB40 concert already announced. Both will be superb showcases for the city.”

The girl band, who have enjoyed a hugely successful year with both number one singles and a number one album to their name, are the second blue-chip musical act secured by Dundee City Council for 2017.
1980s reggae legends UB40 have already been confirmed to play the venue in May.
The gardens, named after the missionary Mary Slessor, cover an 11,000 square-metre area and have been designed to host a series of major events including concerts, exhibitions and markets.
