Almost £5,000 has been raised to help support two families after a tragic weekend in Dundee.
Julie McCash, 43 and David Sorrie, 32, both lost their lives following an incident on Drumlanrig Drive.
They were found injured in the street around 6.30am.
Robert Stratton, 42, appeared on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday charged with two counts of murder. He also faces further charges of attempted murder and assault.
Now an online fundraiser has been set up in support of Ms McCash’s family, with the total raised already exceeding £3,300.
The website was set up by Julie’s relative Lisa McCash.
She wrote: “Help to raise funds for the family of Julie McCash … to help them through this difficult time. Julie was a loving mum, gran, partner, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend to many.”
Ms McCash and Mr Sorrie had been attending a family vigil for 18-year-old Ralph Smith, who is presumed dead after falling from Arbroath cliffs on Saturday.
Another fundraiser for his family has raised almost £1,500.
Police Scotland said the search for the teenager would continue today.
Chief Inspector David McIntosh said: “Police Scotland air support unit and specialist Police Scotland search teams carried out further air and land searches for Ralph along the Arbroath coastline on Monday.
“On Tuesday our dive and marine unit have been carrying out coastal cliff searches between Auchmithie and Arbroath. We are in regular contact with Ralph’s family during this difficult time and further searches are planned.
“Ralph is described as being five feet, 10 inches tall to six feet tall, with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and blue and red trainers when he fell at Arbroath cliffs on Saturday.
“If you have any information that could assist us, please contact 101 or speak to any police officer.”
