Tickets to see one of the UK’s most popular rock bands in Dundee are being advertised for sale at more than five times the asking price.
StubHub, an online marketplace allowing people to buy and sell concert tickets, is offering people the chance to see Stereophonics at the Caird Hall on Tuesday, August 22 for £200 per person.
Both standing and seating tickets were priced at £38.50 this morning, however they sold out rapidly both online and at the Dundee City Box Office.
And StubHub has defended itself by saying music fans “are free to do what they wish” with the tickets they buy.
Standing tickets are priced at £200 through the website.
The Caird Hall said tickets which are re-sold, having been bought through the Dundee City Box Office, would result in the cancellation of the booking.
However it is not able to police those sold through other websites or the band itself.

When The Courier looked at the total cost for two tickets on StubHub, including an additional “service fee” and the cost of delivery and VAT, the bill came to £481.
However a StubHub spokeswoman said: “StubHub believes that when a fan buys a ticket, they are free to do what they wish with the ticket – use it, donate it, give it away, or resell it.
“It is inaccurate to say that ticket resale websites prevent fans from accessing tickets.
“Caird Hall has a capacity of over 2,000, and there are currently just 14 tickets listed on StubHub for the Stereophonics concert.
“We should instead be asking if all tickets for this concert were made available for public sale in the first place.”
Viagogo is also offering tickets for almost £110.
The capacity for the concert is 2,300 – 1,600 standing tickets and 700 seated.
People queued up from 4.30am outside the Dundee Box Office to grab them.
