An offshore worker hit a woman with a wheelie-bin during an assault in an Angus town.
Scott Livie, 27, admitted assaulting Nadia Mclaughlin at Little Causeway, Forfar, on January 14.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard Livie pushed her, threw her to the ground, threw a wheelie bin at her and struck her on the head with the wheel of the bin.
Livie’s solicitor said his client worked in the oil and gas industry and was due to go offshore this week.
Sentence was deferred until October 24 for his return.
