Volcanic Vindaloo has been flying off the shelves in Dundee

An incredibly hot new curry launched by a supermarket has been flying off the shelves in Dundee.

The new Volcanic Vindaloo sold out today within hours of reaching the shelves of the Morrisons off the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road in the city.

The ready meal is made using the naga chilli pepper, one of the hottest foods in the world.

Morrisons introduced the dish as part of National Curry Week to satisfy spicy food lovers.

The vindaloo is also topped with whole green chillis.

Costing just £1.50 it comes with a warning, has been given a six-chilli rating and is only on offer to people aged 16 and above.

Morrisons have been approached for comment.
