The battle for a new Westminster seat merging parts of Dundee with Angus has kicked off early with two MPs squaring up on social media.
Kirstene Hair, the Tory MP for Angus, goaded her Nationalist rival Stewart Hosie, who sits on Dundee East, by asking him on Twitter if he was “getting nervous”.
But in reference to her admission that she did not vote in the EU referendum, the former SNP deputy leader, replied: “No. Any opinion on #Brexit yet?”

The proposed changes published by the Boundary Commission for Scotland on Tuesday would see Dundee East take in large parts of Tory-held Angus.
Mr Hosie saw his majority in the general election in June cut from more than 19,000 to fewer than 7,000.
Ms Hair took the Angus seat from veteran SNP politician Mike Weir.
