A man has been detained following an “isolated disturbance” in Dundee’s West End.
Eye witnesses reported seeing six police cars and officers with police dogs in attendance outside a property on the city’s Blackness Road around 9.30pm on Friday.
Local business owners told The Courier a man in a first floor flat smashed a window while in possession of a knife and threatened a shop keeper who was locking-up his store below.
Blackness Road was closed for a period before officers left the area.
Following the incident a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “This was an isolated disturbance.
“A person has been detained.”
