Two teenagers charged after man found injured on Dundee Street

Two 15-year-old boys have been charged with assault in connection with an incident where a man was found injured on a Dundee Street.

The 17-year-old was found in Adelaide Place with head injuries on December 23.

A taxi driver discovered him lying in the middle of the road at around 5.30am.

Emergency services were called to the scene and forensic officers spent two days scouring the street and the footpath that runs alongside it to Kinghorne Road.

A report on the circumstances is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Tayside Police Division statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that two 15-year-old male youths have been charged with assault, in connection with the incident where a man was found in Adelaide Place, Dundee, with head injuries on December 23.

“A report on the circumstances is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
