Hundreds heralded in 2018 with a brave dip in the waters of the River Tay on New Year’s Day.
Donning fancy dress the dookers took to Broughty Ferry harbour for Ye Amphibious Ancients Bathing Association’s annual challenge, watched on by thousands of spectators.
Participant Avril Gold, of Dundee, braved the water with daughter Rachel Key.
Avril said she was ready for anything that comes her way in 2018 following the dip, adding: “I’ve been having cold showers for a month. We can take on any challenge now”.
Both said they would definitely take on the challenge again.
A number of ‘loony dooks’ also took place across Fife.
