Google Earth’s newest upgrade allows you to tour Dundee in 3D

Google Earth’s latest feature has been updated to allow for virtual tours of Dundee in 3D.

The City of Discovery is available to explore up close in incredible detail as part of the web giant’s biggest upgrade to its map of the globe in two years.

Dundee is one of few select locations across the planet to be included in the new feature, which also allows users to tour the likes of the Grand Canyon, New York City and the Eiffel Tower.

The new feature allows you to take a “tour” of Dundee in 3D. Edinburgh and Glasgow are the only other Scottish cities to be included in the feature.

3D tours of some of Scotland’s incredible scenery including the Cuillin Mountains of Skye and the Cairngorms are also available, with street view options giving 360-degree tours of epic viewpoints.

Some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery, including the Cairngorms, are also available to view.

The Cuillin mountain range on Skye can also be seen on the 3D version of Google Earth, allowing 360-views of some of the most stunning peaks in the country.
