Officers investigating the robbery of a West End newsagent returned to the scene of the crime on Friday night.
Police were spotted outside Blackness News, which was held-up by a man more than two weeks ago.
It is hoped by returning to the scene at the time the offence took place, locals might have their memories “jogged”.
CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with an armed robbery were released last week, which took place at around 8.15pm on Friday February 9.
A man threatened a shop worker with a knife before escaping with hundreds of pounds in cash. He was last seen running into Rosefield Place.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: On Friday February 9 at around 8.15pm a man entered the shop and presented a knife at the shop assistant and demanded money.
“He thereafter made off from the shop and was seen to run into Rosefield Place, before being lost to sight.
“In an effort to trace the man, officers recently issued CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
“He is described as black, of slim build, five foot eleven inches tall, aged between 25 – 30 years old with facial hair.
“He was wearing a navy parka style jacket with a fur rimmed hood, black tracksuit bottoms, black training shoes and black gloves.
“Officers have carried out extensive enquiries including private and public CCTV review, house to house and searches.
“Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting CR/3304/18 .”
