A man has been arrested by police in connection with an alleged attempted break-in to a city centre store on Sunday night.
Police swooped on Dundee High Street on Sunday following reports of an attempted break-in.
It was originally thought the jewellers Pandora had been broken into but it later emerged the clothing store H&M had been the alleged target during the incident.
Officers were stationed outside both entrances to the Keiller Centre and outside the store while investigations began.
One witness who had been in Casino Gaming next door to Pandora said: “I thought somebody had been killed or stabbed the amount of police there were.
“Someone said there had been a break-in to the store and that someone had tried to get in through the ceiling or a wall.”
A spokesman for Police Scotland said a 37-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the alleged break-in.
But he said officers still want to speak to other men in connection with it.
He said: “Police Scotland attended at a store in Dundee High Street about 9:15pm on Sunday in response to a reported break-in.
“Two men were seen on CCTV to have been within the store, although it is not thought that anything was stolen.
“Officers would like to speak with two persons, both male and about 5ft 10 in height.
“The first was wearing a grey hooded top with a front pocket and white toggles, black tracksuit bottoms, black shoes and a black tammy hat.
“The second was wearing a black hooded top with two white stripes down the arms and “motif on the front, a green t-shirt, blue jeans and dark trainers with a white sole.
A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident later in the evening, and was subsequently released pending further enquiries.”
The spokesman added anyone with information that could assist police with their inquiries should contact them on 101 or speak with any officer.
