A Broughty Ferry family have issued a heartfelt plea to find a precious soft toy that has helped their little boy get through a series of treatments for cancer.
Little Lochie Wightman was given the Pooh Bear comforter by his big brother Logan on the day of his birth in January 2017 and the “cosy” has since gone everywhere with him as brave Lochie has undergone treatments for neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer.
Lochie’s mum Joanne said: “He has had the cosy since he’s been born. When he was diagnosed I bought another one because, with him being sick so often, we needed a spare.
“We can always buy another one but this is the one he has had since birth.”
The toddler lost Pooh Bear during a trip to the lifeboat station on Saturday.
Joanne said: “We had gone out to get Lochie some fresh air.
“Pooh Bear was last seen on a cottage wall at the bottom of Ambrose Street on Saturday around 5pm. If anyone has him or can help with his whereabouts please contact us.”

Joanne and dad David issued an appeal on Facebook and thousands of people have shared their post in the hope Lochie and Pooh Bear can be reunited before he moves on to his next phase of treatment.
Joanne added: “He cosies into him all the time and it never leaves his side. He has been through eight months of treatment with him so we’re really hoping we can get him back.”
