Emergency services were called to a “disturbance” on a Dundee street after what neighbours described as a “teenage party” continuing into the early hours of the morning.
An ambulance and around four police cars descended on Lilybank Terrace at around 8.30am after reports of an “incident”.
Police say details are still to emerge as they continue to make enquiries.
Nobody is believed to have been taken to hospital following the commotion.
Inspector Pattie said: “A number of police vehicles and officers initially attended the scene but I would like to reassure the public that at no point was there any danger to the public and members of the community should continue as normal to go about their daily business.”
A neighbour, who did not wish to give their name, said: “I woke up and heard loads of noise.
“There were around four police cars and an ambulance on the street.
“As far as I know it was something to do with teenagers.
“There was a house party last night and it went on all night. It was a bit loud.
“I heard them shouting at the back of six and then I woke up again at eight or so.
“That’s when the emergency services started arriving.
“I’m not too worried. There aren’t often house parties here or any other incidents so I think it was a one-off.”
