An 18-year-old has appeared in court accused of a terrifying attack on a woman in a Dundee graveyard.
Daryl Avers allegedly subjected the woman to a violent attack in Eastern Cemetery on Friday night at around 11.30pm.
He is accused of demanding money from her before repeatedly punching her on the head causing her to fall to the ground.
He then allegedly repeatedly kicked her on the body before placing his hand over her mouth and nose, restricting her breathing.
Avers, of Maitland Street, Dundee, is then accused of robbing her of £40 and her handbag.
He appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday in private on petition and made no plea.
He was granted bail with the case committed for further examination.
