A star of popular TV reality show Love Island is bound for Dundee.

Dani Dyer will be in the city for Dundee University’s freshers’ week on September 4, 2018.

Alongside partner Jack Fincham, Dyer – who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer – is a favourite to become a Love Island finalist.

Vice president of communications and campaigns at Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) Claire Hartley said: “We can’t wait for Dani to come to Scotland’s coolest little city.

“She will be arriving into Dundee as around 3,000 new students start their own adventures at the University.

“Freshers’ this year promises to be one of the very best, with fantastic entertainment booked for every evening. There’s a reason we were named the best students’ union in Scotland in 2018 by WhatUni.

“It’s the perfect introduction to DUSA The Union for our new students, where they will have the opportunity to join over 200 Societies and even meet the student executive who run all the yearly pastoral campaigns, providing their social and academic support.

“Alongside top-class acts and meet and greets like Dani, first-year students can expect a very warm welcome to Dundee, DUSA is always here for them throughout their time here.”
