A Dundee graffiti artist has paid tribute to a well-loved children’s TV star following his death.

SYKE Graffiti Art created a mural of actor Barry Elliott, known to millions as one half of the Chuckle Brothers, at Dundee’s Robertson Street Community Garden.

The ChuckleVision star died aged 73 following a period of ill health.

The artwork by SYKE, whose real name is Symon Mathieson, includes the brothers’ famous catchphrase “To me, to you”.

SYKE posted a photo of the mural to Facebook, adding: “Quick sprays on the route home. To me…..”.

Following Barry’s death, brother and co-star Paul Elliott said: “I’ve not just lost my brother, I’ve lost my theatrical partner of many, many years and my very best friend.”

ChuckleVision ran for 292 episodes between 1987 and 2009.

SYKE has previously created work at Dens Park, Tannadice and Thomson Park.
