Police tracing OAP involved in road traffic collision outside Dundee store

Police are attempting to trace an OAP believed to have been involved in a collision outside a Dundee shop.

Police say the man, said to be in his 70s, was involved in a “minor” road traffic incident in the Farmfoods car park in Lochee at about 11.35am on Tuesday.

A female driver is believed to have rushed to his aid and then driven him home to Douglas.

Officers want to know if the man is “alright” or in need of “medical assistance”.

Tayside Police Division said: “Police Scotland is looking to trace a male pedestrian after an incident in the car park of Farmfoods, Lochee in Dundee today (Tuesday, September 18).

“It is understood that the man was involved in a minor road traffic collision at 11.35am within the car park.

“The female driver of the car came to the assistance of the man and is believed to have taken him home to Douglas.

“We would like to establish if this gentleman is alright and not in need of medical assistance.

“He is described as being around 70 years of age, 5ft 2in with grey hair, wearing a rain coat and grey clothing.

“The female driver is described as being in her 60s, 5ft 3in with grey hair. She was driving a dark coloured vehicle.

“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1524 of 18 September or speak to any police officer.”
