Rail services between Dundee and Aberdeen faced severe disruption this morning because of a signalling fault at Arbroath.
The problem initially meant no services could pass through the Angus station. The route was later opened up to southbound service but northbound remained closed until around 10am.
ScotRail says Network Rail engineers were sent to fix the fault.
