VIDEO: Footage shows firefighters tackling blaze in flat in Dundee city centre

Two people are said to have been treated by paramedics following a fire in a flat in Dundee city centre.

Three appliances were sent to tackle the blaze on the first floor of Irvine’s Square, at the bottom of Soapwork Lane, at about 3.30pm.

The building was evacuated and firefighters, police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.

A witness said that two people were being treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was dealt with in less than half an hour by crews.
