Drizzle could not dampen the enthusiasm of thousands of music fans on Saturday as Sir Tom Jones performed a hit-packed set at Slessor Gardens.
The Welsh singer and Voice coach attracted a sell-out crowd of over 8,000 people to the waterfront venue.
Dundee City Centre was crammed with fans before the gates to Slessor Gardens opened at 4pm.
Support on Saturday was provided by The Dunwells and Ferris and Sylvester before Sir Tom took to the stage at 8.30 and delivered a 90-minute set including hits such as Delilah, It’s Not Unusual and Sex Bomb.
Police Scotland said the concert passed off peacefully .
However, there were some complaints about the volume of the concert, with some fans at the back of Slessor Gardens saying they could not hear what was being said between songs.
Denise Shillitto posted on Facebook: “Had a great night but would have been so much more enjoyable and would have added to my enjoyment and the atmosphere if sound was cranked up a good bit.
“Would have liked to have heard what he was saying in-between songs.”
Sharon Low added: “The sound quality was poor, we were in the silver section. Great when we could hear him though.”
Alison Ogilve said: “What a performance however the sound quality in the bronze section was awful.
“We didn’t expect to have the best view of Tom but did expect to hear him.
“We couldn’t hear what he was saying at all when he was speaking and quality poor when he was singing. Sound not loud enough which resulted in a lack of atmosphere.
“We enjoyed our night but please resolve this issue.”
Overall though, fans were delighted with the performance.
Edith Maude said: “Loving that Dundee is hosting these outdoor gigs.”
Roads around Slessor Gardens were closed because of the concert causing slight delays for motorists forced to take diversions around the city centre.
