A busy stretch of a Dundee road was closed as emergency services dealt with a fire on Wednesday morning.
A section of Strathmartine Road, between Clepington Road and the Five Ways Roundabout was shut off due to a fire at the junction of Coldside Road and Strathmartine Road.
A Courier reader sent in footage showing smoke billowing from a top-floor flat in a tenement building on the street.
A fire and rescue spokesman confirmed they received a call at 9.21am and sent three appliances to the residential fire.
Police were also called to the scene.
Xplore Dundee’s 22 service was diverted both ways via Hospital Street due to the incident.
Tayside Police Division posted: “The section of Strathmartine Road between Clepington Road and the Five Ways Roundabout is closed due to a fire.
“It will be closed for some time while the incident is dealt with, so please try and avoid the area if you can.”
The flat owners are not believed to have been in the property at the time of the incident.
Nobody was injured in the blaze.
The road reopened on the afternoon.
