A woman was repeatedly punched and knocked down stairs when she was attacked at a Fife hostel.
The assailant, Laura Brearley, 34, of Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline, appeared from custody at the town’s sheriff court and admitted carrying out the attack on November 27 at the James Bank Hostel.
She pled guilty to assaulting Jade Ellis by seizing her by the body, pulling her down a set of stairs, causing her to fall on the ground, repeatedly punching her on the head and scratching her, all to her injury.
Sheriff James MacDonald called for reports, granted bail and ordered Brearley to return for sentence on January 15.
