A reward is being offered to find thieves after Christmas decorations were stolen from a display in Fife.
Wooden decorations as well as sponsors signs and lighting were taken from the display in Dalgety Bay in what organisers claim was a deliberate attack.
Vandals targeted the display, which had been organised by local community group Blooming Lovely and local estate agents Re/Max and paid for by local businesses.
The display, which included around 30 wooden snowmen as well as a Santa’s sleigh and reindeers, was set up on grass banking at the junction with Harbour Drive and A921 Dalgety Bay to Inverkeithing road.
Peter Collins, founder of the Blooming Lovely group, responsible for a range of floral and community improvements in the area, said he has no idea why the display should have been targeted.
He said: “I just can’t understand why anyone would do such a thing.
“We think it must have been a concerted effort to snap the signs off at the posts and remove them.
“If it had been youngsters causing bother you’d expect to find the signs thrown in bushes but these have been stolen.”
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed enquiries were continuing regarding the theft which happened on Sunday.
