Fife hitmaker KT Tunstall is to officially open a new supermarket in Cowdenbeath.
The awarded-winning Black Horse and the Cherry Tree musician will host the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday at Lidl’s 100th store.
Her 8am stint at the North End Retail Park shop will be followed by a performance in the evening in Edinburgh as part of the Burns and Beyond festival.
Customers are invited to see the Mercury Prize-nominated star.
The new store, which features artwork commissioned from local artist Kerry Wilson, is said to have created up to 40 new jobs.
Ross Millar, regional director, said: “Having been part of Lidl’s journey in Scotland since our first store opened in 1994, it brings me great pride to announce the opening of our 100th store in Cowdenbeath.”
