Fife’s libraries are moving onto a new chapter with the re-opening of 22 branches from Wednesday.
The libraries, three-quarters of the region’s branches. will launch a “connect and collect” service to allow members to return and collect books only.
Limited browsing and use of PCs will restart on August 3, with full public access – again with a limited service – starting on September 7.
The dates are subject to change depending on Scottish Government guidance and it is expected that some restrictions and protective measures will still be required.
Connect and collect will be available at Cupar, Ladybank, Dalgety Bay, Rosyth, Dunfermline Carnegie, Kirkcaldy Galleries, Cardenden, Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly Jennie Lee Library, Rothes Halls, St Andrews, Buckhaven, Burntisland, Kennoway, Methil, Newburgh, Templehall, Newport, Duloch, Oakley, Cadham, Leslie, St Monans and Tayport.
Cystomers can connect with ONFife through www.onfife.com or by calling their nearest branch to have a selection of up to 10 books put together for collection at the library door.
Requests for specific titles cannot be taken but customers will be given a surprise lucky dip.
