A new Anstruther lifeboat is to be named by Scottish actress Katrina Bryan, best known for roles in Taggart and children’s TV hit Nina and the Neurons.
Anstruther RNLI will be presented with a new D class lifeboat, replacing the current Rotary Centenary Queen which has served the station since April 2007.
The crew turned to schools in the East Neuk to help name the brand new £48,000 boat, with 10 final names to be decided at the upcoming Anstruther Open Day on Saturday May 28.
Ms Bryan will decide the winner at the end of the event.
