More children at Fife primary schools have been told they will have to self-isolate after a number of new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed.
Parents and guardians of P3 pupils at Donibristle Primary School in Dalgety Bay were informed late yesterday evening that children would have to self-islolate until October 19.
It follows an additional individual linked to the school having tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total cases associated to the school to two.
The news comes just days after the entire P7 year at the same school was requested to self-isolate after the first of the confirmed cases.
NHS Fife has also confirmed that an individual linked to Methilhill Primary School had tested positive.
A number of contacts at the school have been identified and asked to self-isolate.
Also, two individuals at Beath High School in Cowdenbeath have also tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total cases associated to the school to 13.
No additional contacts are required to self-isolate.
A spokesperson at NHS Fife, said: “Anyone who develops any of the established symptoms of the virus, such as a fever; or a loss or change in taste or smell; or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal at: www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.
