A broken down speedboat prompted a callout for RNLI’s lifeboat at Anstruther on Saturday afternoon.
The alarm was raised at around 2.30pm when the 20-foot vessel suddenly lost power just off the Anstruther coast.
Members of the RNLI crew swiftly responded but those aboard the stricken boat had managed to get it restarted before the lifeboat arrived on the scene.
The Anstruther lifeboat escorted the boat back into the harbour to ensure its crew were able to get back on to dry land safe and sound.
