A driver escaped uninjured after his car crashed off the M90 and rolled down an embankment on Sunday morning.
The black Mini was travelling south when it collided with the central reservation near junction four at Kelty at around 9.40am.
It then crossed the northbound carriageway before leaving the road.
Long tailbacks built up as traffic was brought to a standstill while the emergency services swung into action.
Police said the male driver did not need to go to hospital but was in shock.
The drama was over by 10.30am.
