Thousands of people descended on Cupar on Saturday as Fife’s farmers and food producers showcased the finest that the region has to offer.
The highlight of the Kingdom’s agricultural social calendar, the Fife Show produced plenty for the crowds to enjoy, enthralling even those who do not work on the land.
Despite heavy downpours throughout Fife on Saturday, the rain failed to dampen the spirits of the thousands that turned out for the first show of the agricultural season.
However, while the rain fell outside, there was plenty of indoor entertainment for visitors, with live demonstrations from Elmwood College chefs taking place at the Cookery Theatre, while the food and drink marquee returned after its successful introduction last year.
However, as always it was the animals that proved to be the stars of the show with plenty of different demonstrations delighting the traditionalists.
A pet show, a falconry display and dog scurry were just some of the exhibits that entertained spectators, amidst the usual displays of livestock.
