Several miles of the M90 through Fife were closed following an incident on Sunday afternoon.

Traffic on the motorway came to a standstill shortly after 1pm.

Police closed both sides of the road and vehicles were diverted at Cockslaw and Kelty junctions.

The road reopened around 20 minutes later.

A force spokesperson said officers were dealing with a “police incident”.
