Three people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle accident on the M90 motorway in Fife.
Emergency services attended the scene of the collision which took place around 8.15am near Halbeath and the road was closed for some time.
Four vehicles were caught up in the accident, although it is understood no serious injuries were suffered.
However, a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that three people were taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital for further treatment.
“We received a call at 0815 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on the M90 at Halbeath,” the spokesperson said.
“We dispatched two ambulances and a manager to the scene. Three patients were transported to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”
Traffic Scotland has confirmed it was a “multi-vehicle” accident and stated that drivers should expect delays with diversions in place.
