A student missing from St Andrews has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Eliza Allison, known as Moona, had been missing since Thursday.
Police Scotland said she had been traced at around 5pm on Saturday in the Anstruther area.
Worried friends in the university town had frantically distributed photographs and a description of the 23-year-old on social media.
Eliza, who is from the USA, was last seen in Melbourne Place at around 2pm on Thursday and concerns for her welfare had grown.
A statement issued by Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that missing woman, Eliza Allison, was traced safe and well at around 5pm today (Saturday) in the Anstruther area.
“Officers would like to thank the public and media for sharing our appeals for information.”

The final year astronomy student had not been in touch with either her family or friends.
Eliza frequently walks on Fife Coastal Path and officers had appealed to the public to get in touch if they thought they had seen her.
