Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit in the face with a glass object during an unprovoked attack.
The 32-year-old victim suffered serious injuries following the savage assault which took place on June 24.
The man was standing inside Society Bar on Charlotte Street, Kirkcaldy, when he was struck with a glass or bottle.
The man was taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment to his injuries following the 1am incident.
Local officers are now trying to trace whoever was responsible and are asking anyone who can assist with their inquiries to come forward.

Constable Abby Armour from Kirkcaldy Police Station said: “This was an unprovoked attack that has left the victim injured and we are keen to trace the man responsible as soon as possible.
“We believe that the man responsible used a glass or glass bottle during this assault.
“I am eager to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, to come forward to help with our inquiries.”
