The Tay Road Bridge has reopened to cars after strong winds forced it to close for most of the afternoon.
Storm Ali brought wild conditions to the area, with bridge officials saying a peak gust of 102.2mph was recorded.
With all rail services from Dundee also cancelled by the storm, it meant a day of traffic chaos for commuters and other travellers.
We are now open in both directions. Please be aware that at the moment we are open to CARS ONLY due to high winds. (18:10 19/09/18)

V&A Dundee also had to close early to new visitors after the wind whipping off the river left people struggling to stay on their feet outside the city’s new showpiece museum.
