Motorists travelling through Fife on the A92 on Friday evening were urged to allow extra time for their journey after a two-vehicle crash caused problems in Glenrothes.

The incident was reported shortly before 4.30pm and involved two vehicles on the northbound carriageway at Balfarg.

No-one was understood to be hurt, but the collision partially blocked the road ahead of recovery vehicles being called.

A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said motorists were to approach the area with caution.

Traffic quickly built up in the area as many people were leaving their places of work at the time.
