Police appeal after vehicle stolen from Fife car dealership

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen from an Arnold Clark dealership in Fife.

Raiders targeted the branch on Blackwood Road in Glenrothes overnight between January 18 and 19.

Two male suspects were seen entering the site at around 11.45pm before managing to overcome the security system.

A yellow coloured Ford Focus ST, with the registration plate PN14JNZ, was taken. It was driven off site at around 1.15am.

The stolen car is known to have travelled southwards on the M90 near to South Queensferry.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information and who can assist with inquiries to come forward.

Detective Constable Andrew Mitchell of Glenrothes CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the Eastfield Industrial Estate are of Glenrothes in the days beforehand, or overnight on Friday January 18 into Saturday January 19, to get in touch.

“In addition, anyone who has seen, or who knows the current whereabouts of the stolen Ford Focus, is asked to contact police immediately.

“It’s possible that the vehicle no longer has the same registration plates.

“I would also urge the public and businesses to remain vigilant and ensure that their property is secured at all times with appropriate security measures in place.

“Please always report suspicious behaviour to 101 or dial 999 if you see a crime ongoing.”
