Comedian Jim Davidson has apologised to fans after ill health forced him to postpone performances in Dundee and Dunfermline this weekend.

The stand-up comic was due to appear at the Whitehall Theatre tonight and at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre on Saturday.

However, he has been battling a sore throat all week and says he is not in a fit state to appear.

Posting on Twitter, he said: “I look and feel like a bag of s**t.”

He said the gigs had been rescheduled for May and advised anyone with tickets to get in touch with the theatres.

The Whitehall confirmed: “We are sorry to have to inform patrons that tonight’s show has been postponed until Sunday May 12 2019- 7.30pm, due to illness. Original tickets will be valid for the new date.”
