A teenage boy has admitted assaulting two senior members of staff at Levenmouth Academy.
The 16-year-old pupil, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pled guilty to repeatedly punching headteacher Ronnie Ross on the head during an incident at the Buckhaven school on November 23 last year when he appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
The youngster also admitted assaulting depute rector Forbes Maginnis on the same date by repeatedly punching him on the head.
The teenage admitted a further charge of acting in an aggressive manner and throwing items around at an address in Methil on January 17 this year.
Sheriff Alastair Thornton called for the preparation of background reports and deferred sentence on the teenager until July 11.
The sheriff also specifically asked for the court to be provided with advice from the Children’s Panel prior to sentencing.
Levenmouth Academy, which opened to pupils in August 2016 following the merger of Kirkland High and Buckhaven High Schools, is one of the biggest schools in Scotland with a roll of more than 1,600 pupils and 200 staff.
