A woman was rushed to hospital after she was injured by a falling branch in Newport.
It is understood the woman, in her 50s, was struck while out walking at around 8.30pm on Sunday evening.
The Scottish Ambulance Service’s trauma team from Tayside attended the incident on a path near Northfield Farm.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call at 8.20pm on Sunday to attend an incident in Newport.
“We dispatched one ambulance and our trauma team to the scene.
“We transported one female to Ninewells Hospital.”
