A popular Fife restaurant has announced its closure after three years.
Management at St Andrews Waffle Company, which is located on the town’s South Street, have “reluctantly” decided to shut.
In a statement posted to Facebook staff said they would be moving on to pursue “other opportunities”.
The statement reads: “After three incredible years we have reluctantly taken the decision to close the restaurant on a permanent basis.
“This was always a family business and as a family (we) have decided to pursue other opportunities.
“A huge thank you to all who worked with us and visited us, you have contributed to making this the amazing journey that it has been.”
The restaurant specialised in Belgian waffles but also served milkshakes, ice cream and hot drinks.
The news has prompted an outpouring of sadness on social media.
