Police have launched an investigation into a series of break-ins at businesses in Aberfeldy and Kenmore in the past week.
The Watermill Bookshop and The Three Lemons restaurant in Aberfeldy and the The Courtyard Restaurant in at Mains Of Taymouth in Kenmore have all been targeted by thieves.
At each of the premises a window was either forced or smashed to gain entry and cash registers targeted with police linking the crimes.
Two sheds were also broken into in Aberfeldy on January 2 with a mountain bike stolen but police are still unsure if this is by the same perpetrators.
The Watermill Bookshop in Bank Street was broken into sometime between 10:30pm – 11:30pm on Saturday December 28.
The Courtyard Restaurant was broken into between 12:30am and 7:30am on Tuesday December 31 and The Three Lemons Restaurant in Dunkeld Street was targeted about 1:10am this morning.
A police spokesperson said: “We would like to ask any small businesses in the area to check your security, alarms, CCTV etc to ensure that they are in full working order, and to be vigilant for anyone acting suspiciously around the premises, particularly if they are examining the layout and security of the building.
“If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“Our reference is incident 1148 of 29th December or CR/35100/19.”
