A snow and ice warning has been issued for Perthshire with forecasters warning of the return of wintry weather.
The Met Office says showers will turn wintry overnight from Monday into Tuesday.
It comes following a weekend which saw flood chaos hit Perthshire as Storm Dennis battered the region – with rivers overflowing and roads forced to close due to the deluge. Sandbags were deployed in Alyth on Saturday night.
A Met Office yellow warning for snow and ice was issued on Monday morning. It will be in force from 6pm until 11am on Tuesday.

It reads: “Frequent showers will turn increasingly wintry through Monday evening, allowing snow to settle on some higher routes.
“1-2cm is likely above around 200 m, with 3-5 cm possible above 400m.
“Showers will be accompanied by strong westerly winds which may lead to some drifting. Ice may also form on untreated surfaces.”
On Monday morning the A93 Perth to Braemar road was closed around the Spittal of Glenshee due to heavy snow. It was reopened by noon.
However a number of Perth and Kinross roads remain closed on Monday due to weather-related issues.
They are:
- The C448 at Bridge of Balgie (landslip)
- The B935 at Forteviot Bridge (flooding)
- The A824 between Auchterarder and Aberuthven (flooding)
- Path of Condie (landslip)

Elsewhere Traffic Scotland is warning of high winds affecting the Queensferry Crossing, and the Friarton and Tay Road bridges. The latter remains closed to double decker buses.

Storm Dennis affected roads across Perth and Kinross at the weekend. The A9 Perth to Stirling road was among those affected by lane closures on both Saturday and Sunday due to the weather.
