A body has been found in the Kelso area in the search for a missing Perthshire woman.
The family of missing Melita Hachey has been informed, although formal identification is still to take place.
The 30-year-old who previously lived in Aberuthven and Perth city centre was reported missing from Galashiels on February 22.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that around 5.30pm on Monday, 2 March, 2020, the body of a woman was found in the Kelso area.
“Formal identification has yet to take place however, the family of 30-year-old Melita Hachey who was reported missing from Galashiels on Saturday, 22 February, 2020, has been informed.”
