A man has appeared in court accused of driving while more than four times over the legal limit.
Kelvin Campbell denied the charges against him when he appeared from custody in Perth on Monday.
The 20-year-old is alleged to have had 95 mics of alcohol in his system on Perth’s Ainslie Gardens on June 18. The legal drink-drive limit is 22.
It is further alleged that he was driving while disqualified and that his Fiat Punto had no insurance or MOT.
A crown motion to seize the vehicle was granted by the court.
Campbell, of Tulloch Place, Perth, also appeared in relation to a second matter, which he also denies.
It is alleged that he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner on June 10 at a property in Perth’s Struan Road.
It is said that he shouted, swore and uttered threats, as well as repeatedly throwing a stool and kicking out. He is said to have struck his ex-partner and to have kicked doors.
A trial in relation to the driving charges will take place in July, while a second date has been set in August for the other matter.
