Two Perthshire Olympians have struck silver in Rio.
Stephen Milne and Duncan Scott helped boost Britain’s medal tally at the 2016 Olympics with a spectacular swim.
The pair were part of Team GB who scored second place in the 4x200m freestyle relay.
The win sparked celebrations across Tayside with messages of congratulations pouring in from politicians, dignitaries and sports professionals.
Bosses at Perth College, where 22-year-old Stephen was studying environmental science, said they were now looking forward to giving their star student a hero’s welcome.
A spokeswoman said: “We would like to extend our congratulations to Stephen, his winning team and his family on this fantastic medal achievement. We are delighted for him and look forward to welcoming back an Olympian.”

Stephen, who trained in Dundee, started off the race before Duncan, who is coached by Dundee’s Elaine Johnston, and Dan Wallace pulled the team into medal contention.
The medal was won in the last leg as Englishman James Guy dramatically pipped the Japanese team to the post.
First place went to team USA, with Michael Phelps winning his 21st Olympic gold medal.
