The funeral of a two-year-old girl killed in a road crash at Coupar Angus will take place on Tuesday morning.

Harlow Edwards was struck by a vehicle while walking along the town’s Forfar Road on October 13.

The toddler’s 17-year-old sister Dionne and six-year-old brother Leon were also seriously hurt.

Harlow will be laid to rest following a service at St Columba’s RC Church in Dundee at 10am on Tuesday. She will then be interred at Birkhill Cemetery.

Mourners have been asked to wear bright colours or “a touch of pink” to celebrate Harlow’s life.

Calling the toddler “our little ray of sunshine”, the family said that the bright theme was chosen “in honour of our beautiful baby girl and all that she was.”

The Coupar Angus community has rallied round the Edwards family following the tragedy.

At the weekend, road safety campaigners altered road signs to create an unofficial 20mph zone in the town. It was a protest against a perceived lack of action after more than a decade of calls for increased safety measures.

A JustGiving page set up to support the family has more than doubled it’s £4,000 target.
