Scotland’s leading table tennis player Gavin Rumgay was back in Tayside to give a masterclass today.
Among the students picking up tips from the Commonwealth Games star at the Ward Road gym was the Courier’s own columnist Jim Spence.
My new Rumgay Reactor thanks to @GavinRumgayTT for his exhibition at Ward Rd gym Dundee today. If he'd given me 12 of a start I'd have won? pic.twitter.com/wO2rHKCVQw

Gavin, from Perth, is now based in London and started his career by winning the Dundee league 20 years ago.
He became famous in 2014 when his unusual celebration — pulling his shorts up tight to crown a victory — went viral and even sparked a tribute song.
Thankfully for all present, Jim Spence did not recreate the spectacle in Dundee.
